Membrane Filtration
HydroChem offers membrane filtration technology for the purification of water for specialised processes and the treatment of wastewater for reuse or discharge into the sewer.
The specific benefits of HydroChem’s membrane filtration systems are:
- Cost effective
- Superior quality
- Optimised for your process
- Reduced energy requirements for lower operating cost
- Reduced capital and running costs
Types of Membrane Filtration
There are four main types of membrane filtration: Reverse Osmosis (RO); Nanofiltration (NF); Ultrafiltration (UF); and Microfiltration (MF). The type of filtration system used to process your water will depend on a number of factors including surface area, contaminants, pH and end use.
Membrane filtration technologies can be used as an alternative to traditional flocculation and separation techniques discussed in wastewater treatment. The main advantage of membrane filtration over other forms of water treatment is that it does not require the addition of flocculants or coagulants.
Reverse Osmosis
HydroChem's high quality reverse osmosis systems are used for a wide range of applications.
- Bore water desalination
- Town water purification (eg. boiler feedwater, deionised water)
- Industrial water reuse
- Seawater desalination
