Victorian WaterMAP - Industry Water Saving Program |
|
Under the Victorian Government's WaterMAP Program, non-residential water-users that use 10ML per year or more will be required to develop a water efficiency management plan.
The WaterMAP program seeks to improve water efficiency of major commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
Water-users that use more than 10ML per year will be required to register for the WaterMAP Program by 14 September 2007.
The WaterMAP aims to identify:
- How water is currently used;
- Inefficiencies and opportunities for saving water;
- Actions to implement water conservation measures; and
- Costs to implement actions.
Businesses will be expected to demonstrate a 10 per cent reduction in water usage by 31 December 2009 and will be required to report on their progress on an annual basis.
Instructions on how to complete a WaterMAP can be found in the WaterMAP Handbook.
