South Australia's new Public and Environmental Health (Legionella) Regulations 2008 and associated guidelines formalise the management of cooling water systems and warm water systems.

The regulations increase the powers of Local and State Governments with regards to the maintenance and testing of cooling water and warm water systems to reduce the impact of Legionnaires' disease.
